Product Description

Slip into Nina's Culver kitten heel shoe for instant glam . It features a rich satin upper, pretty pintucks over the twisted design of the vamp, and a flirty open toe. Pair them with pretty party dresses or any evening attire for an always-appropriate classic look. Nina Footwear is one of the few family-run fashion companies in the shoe business. In the early 1950s, Mike and Stanley Silverstein were strolling around New York when they saw a woman walk by in wood bottom sandals. They asked her about where she had bought them, and when she named a chic boutique in the city, the two brothers knew the time was right to launch their reinterpretation of the clog -- a sexy, platform slide with a wood stiletto-like heel. It was this simple slide that launched Nina Footwear. Today, Nina's sexy, well-priced shoes are widely featured in fashion magazines. A favorite of the "splurge vs. steal" columns, Nina is frequently shown as the only fashion item under $100 along side of shoes priced from $300-$700.

I love the lines and the look of these shoes, plus the hard-to-find bright yellow color was exactly what I needed. I received lots of compliments on them when I wore them to a rehearsal dinner. The downside is that they were not terribly comfortable. The toe opening rubbed right on the cuticle of my big toe. When I wore them around the house to break them in a little, I noticed that they were rubbing up and down on my heels. So on the night I wore them, I used those gel strips that you stick in the back of the shoe (heel grips). This may have been a mistake, as I ended up with two blisters on the inside of my heels from the gel strips rubbing on them. Maybe they run a tad large, but I always wear a 7 1/2 in Ninas and could not have worn a 7 in these. They are beautiful shoes, great if you are not going to be doing much walking around or dancing!
