This 100% leather sandals (not made in China product) is very tough and took time to break in. Now, the pair of sandals is very comfortable. Of course, being void of stitch work or synthetic materials adds to the overall comfort. Although there is no rubber cushion, it is still quite comfortable and cool. However, I only use these sandals for indoors. I cannot comment on the heavy functionality of these sandals for normal everyday outdoor use. Since they have no rubber cushion, I suspect the lack of friction and cushion would be a cause for concern. But for indoors after a patient break in period, they are very comfortable.These sandals are so uncomfortable. I actually got a cut on the top of my foot of how sharp the leather is. I could not walk on them.
