Starting out, I’ll confess to being anything but typical when it comes to shoe fitting. I have narrow feet and swim in a medium width shoe or slipper. The Vionic brand has been my go to for flip flops and slippers for several years because I need extra arch support due to plantar fasciitis and bone spurs. My last pair of slippers from Vionic had very good arch support but were wide for my feet. This new pair of slippers fit my skinny feet like a glove, width wise. If you have average size feet these are going to be tight for you. I can’t wear socks comfortably with these slippers. They’re that tight. On top of that, the back of the slippers are wide, making my heels raise up out of the slippers when I walk. It’s very odd.Another thing that surprised me was the lack of arch support. These are really nothing like any of my past experiences with the brand. Also, the faux shearling material feels hot to my feet, which might be a plus in a cold climate. If you have narrow feet you know how difficult it is to find a good fit. Maybe, like me you learn to make things work for you when you can. That’s where I am with these slippers. I’ve added on old pair of orthotics under the removable footbed to support my arches. That made things better for me. My heels still slip upward and almost out when I walk, but the rest of my foot is secure, instead of sloshing around in a slipper too wide for me. It’s a trade off.The slipper is good looking and while they are a little stiff at first, the leather is fairly supple.I’m not sure how it happened, but these slippers should be labeled narrow not medium width. If you have medium or wide width feet these are NOT for you.
